Next half term:

Japan home learning: Over the holidays we would like pupils to research an element of Japan. Some suggestions include; Japanese culture and traditions, Japanese food, Japanese clothing, education, history and local geography. Ideas for outcomes include; an artefact, poster or leaflet, a PowerPoint presentation, handwritten outcomes, drawings or illustrations. This home learning is directed to year 5 pupils however, the year 6 pupils are very more than welcome to if they wish to do so.

SPLAT THE SATS: Year 6 pupils have been given their Splat the SATs pack this half term for the sessions which will run in Spring 2. The timetable for completing these papers is as follows.

·         Week 1- Numeracy paper A and mental maths.

·         Week 2- Numeracy paper B.

·         Week 3- reading paper.

This breakdown will hopefully enable pupils and parents to priorities which papers to complete ahead of next term’s Splat the SATs sessions.
